25 Sep 2022 11:27 AM | Alex Acton (Administrator)

On the ballot will be a referendum question which will affect your taxes. The question involves a new funding model for recreation which is being proposed for all electoral areas to share proportionately in the costs of the major recreation facilities throughout the CVRD. Director Sierra Acton questions why funding for recreation is shared proportionately but not other services.

Please come out and vote on this important referendum question.

For more information on the new funding model and referendum go to: https://www.planyourcowichan.ca/recfund

The referendum question on whether you support this new funding model will be on the ballot. If it passes Area B Shawnigan Lake will see an increase in taxes.
