In the face of non-disclosure of evidence to the Environmental Appeal Board, allegations of bribery of a public official, and questionable gifts of a trip(s) to Las Vegas, the Shawnigan Residents Association has made an application to the Supreme Court of British Columbia for the production of specified records.
It is beyond comprehension that the Ministry of the Environment has not issued a stop work order for the toxic soil dump on SIA property. It is also beyond comprehension, given the evidence of impropriety with the issuance of this permit and the opposition posed by the entire community, that Premier Clark has not yet asked for the resignation of Environment Minster Mary Polak.
The new document posted to the archives spells out our request to the court.
Residents can express their displeasure on Monday morning by protesting at the SIA site. Walk, cycle or drive. Join your neighbours - send a message!
