November 10th, Amended Petition to the BC Supreme Court
In its ongoing effort to stop the SIA toxic soil dump from continuing operations, the Shawnigan Residents Association has filed an amended Petition to the Supreme Court of British Columbia. The entire text of this petition is posted in the legal archives along with all documents dealing with this action so far.
It is a large document but interesting reading for those interested in all the details. What is more important if you are not into reading legal documents is that your Association has not, and will not stop working on your behalf to protect your property, its values and your drinking water.
The Shawnigan Residents Association AGM on Thursday, Nov, 19 at Shawnigan Lake School, 7:30pm, will provide you with a full report and an opportunity to ask questions. Please come and vote for your new Board of Directors, renew your membership, ask questions and visit with your neighbours.
As always, the SRA action is very expensive and we are asking everyone in Shawnigan and the CVRD to contribute again to the legal fund.
