I understand your concern about giving readers more information about CHH's application and a fuller explanation of your arguments against it.
In order to give readers more details of your position on the company's application, you or another member of the association could write a letter to the editor or an op-ed piece (the longer commentaries that appear at the top of the letters page). It would give you an opportunity to develop your argument against the application in more depth than is possible in a news story.
